Can a single PC serve multiple Steam Links?
Well after the same question was locked on the Hardware forum, let's try again...

The question was...

Can a single PC serve multiple Steam Links concurrently? I'm looking to buy a single high powered Steam PC and use Steam Links in the bedrooms. Each Steam Link will potentially be playing different games (and probably signed in with a different profile). Can this be done?

A reply I received was:

1. Why only two virtual OS's? If the PC has enough power, couldn't it do more?
2. What's better, a powerful CPU or GPU?

Many thanks

I expect the number two was just used arbitrarily there. If you've got the power for more you can certainly do so.

Depends entirely on what games you're going to be playing. That said, if you're going to be playing graphically intensive games you're probably going to need to use a GPU passthrough, which means dedicating one GPU per VM.

The idea is nice but I do not think it is really feasible for gaming. Perhaps on a low number of machines, but as stated above, it is the graphical power that is going to be an issue here. It could totally work for streaming movies and casual type of games.
