Easy fix now is open Steam link app and before clicking "Start Playing" go to the Gear icon for settings at top right of screen, Controller then Setup Controller. There it will start at the "A" button and just push "A" on the controller and then it moves to the next button as seen in the highlighted controller on the screen. Just press the corresponding button that you wish to use for each of the highlighted buttons. It will come to the Back button and I chose D-pad Left and for Start I chose D-pad Right. I figure most games do not need the D-pad so much. Too bad it won't accept multiple button inputs per function like we can do when configuring our Steam Controllers.
Overall a pretty neat controller which does have the clicking inputs on the analog sticks working.
The new annoyance that I have discovered is that Riot Rotor has built in that holding “Y” brings up a menu offering similar controls schemes similar to how steam link does such as mouse like analog and more. But what if I need to hold “Y” during a game such as I found out in Warhammer Kill Team, to push buttons/open doors is , yep hold “Y”.
This looks like it is not configurable or changeable therefore makes games that need that function to be limited.
