Rockstar Games Launcher Games On Steam Link
Since red dead 2 is coming out tomorrow, and I'm going to be getting it on the rockstar games launcher, any idea on how to get it to work on the steam link?
Thanks in advance

I think that should work. Normally you should have to add the rockstar launcher. I thinking about to wait for the steam release, but this release is also starting the rockstar launcher, so is this not the same?

set a chord profile to use a joystick as mouse and button as click, then hold the center button to navigate the launchers

Add the game as non-Steam game with GloSC or OriginSteamOverlayLauncher

All I did for GTA San Andreas was add the .exe file from my game folder in my D drive and added it as a non steam game, and so far it works really well on steam link, I’m pretty sure you should not have the rockstar launcher open when you launch from link it will open rockstar launcher and automatically open your game. there is overlay too, so you dont have to worry about it launching on desktop

OriginSteamOverlayLauncher doesn't work because we are not allowed to put any custom files in RDR2 folder.

Did someone get this running? Starting directly the exe does not work (because Rockstar wants to launchs over Launcher). And OriginSteamOverlay has the problem with the custom files.

You should still get the steam overlay on RDR2 even though it needs to launch from the rockstar launcher. Make sure that the launcher is not running at all, put the RDR2 exe as a non steam game, and launch. You should get the overlay on the game or at least be able to use your controller. This works for me with San Andreas as a have stated above

I have not tried this yet but people on reddit have found a way to make this work https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamController/comments/ds12of/starting_red_dead_redemption_2_through_steam/

Now if only I had room to upload all these screenshots..

Ok, I tested it, but it worked not very well. Starting is not so easy without keyboard and mouse, many FPS lost over this tool, and the controller is not working 100% (Xbox One). I will try to give the game back. I hope the Steam Version will work better.
