Multiple Xbox One S Controllers
Has anyone tested if they can connect more than one Xbox One S controller, wirelessly?

YES! And to my amazement, I was able to pair all 4 of my One S Controllers with my Steam Link via Bluetooth!

Since I actually use an XBOX One S (my mediacenter) I have to re-pair the controllers whenever I want to switch between the two systems. But I can live with that.

With the XBOX USB dongle connected to my PC, I can use my controllers wireless for all 3 systems now, XBOX, Steam Link and PC. This makes the 200 € investment in these controllers actually make sense, at least for me.

What about multiple standard Xbox One controllers w/o bluetooth? Wireless? Wired? How many controllers can connect at 1 time?

Standard XBOX One controllers do not work with the Steam Link wirelessly at all, since Microsoft does not provide Linux (Steam Link = Linux) drivers for it's "XBOX One - Wireless Adapter für Windows".

What you can do, however is use "Virtual Here" a software that allows you to make USB devices availiable in a network.

Has anyone else used "Virtual Here" successfully to solve this issue?

Honestly, it's hit-or-miss. Virtualhere was a pain for me to set up. The Xbox button doesn't work, because it's not going through the link (I know, disable Xbox DVR, I did that. Home buttons still don't work for me) And for my use case it was honestly better to just keep the dongle on my pc. But not everyone has that close of a PC to their TV, especially considering that the link isn't really necessary over s mall distances.

The Xbox controllers with the latest firmwares work well. They will power up the steam link. They work up until you try to do something NOT a steam game, which really sucks. Was counting on playing FIFA17 on it, but can't.

I can get mine to connect but only one of them works wirelessly when playing games. Are you using Virtual here or a beta build?

These controllers do not work.

First of all you'll need another controller, such as a 360 controller or something to make the setup.

When you get to the Bluetooth menu, you can pair/connect the Xbox One S controllers, though they will consistently drop their connections the whole time.

If you manage to pair more than one controller with the steam link it will crash the network stack in the steam link and it will go back to the connecting to network screen.
