Steam Link

Steam Link

Using one XBOX and one PS4 controller at the same time?
I tried searching this, but just get 1000 lists of "compatible controllers".

Can the Steamlink use multiple different types of controllers at the same time? Like one XBOX 360 controller via the USB wireless adapter and one PS4 controller via native bluetooth? I'd just try it, but I don't own a PS4 controller. My girlfriend has multiple XBOX controllers, but I was thinking of buying a PS4 controller to use instead as I'm use to the PS3 controller a bit more than XBOX.

I would think it works. But I wonder how the button images/shapes display on the screen. So if text appears in the game and says "Press Triangle to continue", when the Xbox controller doesn't have a triangle. For example.

It works, at least for Tekken 7 game. I have PS4 controller and Gamesir G4s controller(will be detected by PC as xbox controller). Connected my PS4 via Bluetooth and Gamesir G4s via WiFi adapter. PS4 detected as Player 1 and Gamesir G4s detected as Player 2.

The Steam Link is just a standard Linux machine with Valve software installed on it. The drivers are all standard and/or added by Valve.

You can use any mixture of controllers that "work" with it. Yes, depending on the controller used the directions will refer to different buttons than what you have but it will still function. You just will have to figure out which button maps to which.
