NOTE: Steam Link and NVIDIA Shield TV does not have same controller compatibility on Steam streaming.

Steam Link supports far more controllers than here, and probably more adapters too. Its nice if you can add more in comments so i can add them to this list.
Non working is as important as working ones.

- No USB controller or adapter will hurt Steam Link.
- Official compatible list is incomplete, because there is no way for Valve to try all controllers on the planet.

Takes 3 minutes to pair via the dongle at steam link, but then it works perfectly. On my windows pc it takes 5 seconds. I don't know the reason...

Thank you, too. What I find a little odd is that, while I configured my "Thunderstrike" gamepad on windows, Steam asked for the specific model details to add to their DB, yet I haven't seen any 'official' compatibility list with these unofficial supported controllers....

Someone here said once that there is a DB here somewhere where you can submit controller codes etc, but he didn't have a link and i haven't seen that link either.

Maybe there is some "development" forum on Steam somewhere.

Original Xbox Duke controller works via cheap ebay USB adapter, but needs to be remapped in the Link's controller setup menu. Only downside is no shoulder buttons, just the two black and white buttons.

I do not know if they work with steam link.
I recommend you look for reviews for these gamepads.
It's better bluetooth 4.0 ... it's something to check.. Some are rechargeable, others are only bluetooth and some RF 2.4Ghz + Bluetooth.
