ALT+TAB when using a keyboard

Is anyone able to use the alt+tab key combo to switch to a different app while streaming and using a keyboard with the steam link.

I have noticed that when I am within big picture mode or in a game I cannot use ALT+TAB on the keyboard. However if minimize big picture mode and drop back to the desktop then ALT+TAB works just fine.

I have also noticed that when I setup a steam chord with the steam controller to perform the ALT+TAB it always works from the steam controller. Whether I am in big picture mode, in a game or on the desktop the ALT+TAB always works from the steam controller.

So what is the difference between pressing ALT+TAB on my keyboard connected to the link and pressing the steam chord configured ALT+TAB key combo on my steam controller? I would really like this to work from my keyboard.

I'm very disappointed this never got addressed by anyone from Valve. It's very frustrating, if it wasn't for this quirk I would be able to game like normal via my Steam link. As it is, I can't, for example, load Dota 2 and then Alt+Tab to Discord and back and forth, which is immensely frustrating and crippling.

hit winkey instead then you can alt+tab or pick what you need from taskbar

In case anyone had the problem I did: winkey does not work on Chromecast, since Google hijacks that button for its own menu.

I worked around it using PowerToys and mapping another combination of keystrokes to the shortcut. In my case I used Ctrl+ Shift + Esc since that doesn't conflict with anything with either Steam or the Chromecast.

There might be a more elegant solution, but this definitely worked for my purposes.

This guys a genius this even worked on Mac
