The Link supports multiple controllers. About playing together or in split-screen... steam link doesn't give split screen options of its own, but if the game you are playing is for two players and/or can be played split screen on your PC, then so can be played on your TV with steam link.

cool...

I just ordered it and should be getting it on Saturday. I already have a couple controllers but ordered the Steam Controller also.
Looking forward also to seeing how DCS Flight sim works threw it to my big screen.

I understand that it will strem any game I play on my computer to play on my TV. I just got my copy of Star Citizen and looking forward to streaming it to my big screen 4 K.

"Any" game isn't guaranteed.. there are a few games that have issues, but most are Origina Games and Windows Store Games. However, keep in mind that the streaming supported by Steam Link is maxed to Full HD, no 4k even if both your PC and TV support it (it supports up to 5.1 audio, however)

no problem there.. I am aware that there will be many games that arent going to be 4 k. I am just wondering if team speak will be available for use on it. I do use that also in ARMA 3. and a couple others.

Issue isn't team speak itself, but rather the lack of microphones support in Steam Link. At the moment, AFAIK, your only option is to use a wireless headphone that can still reach your PC.

no problem. I was thinking that.
But maybe if I run a usb to a powered hub and then from there to my headphones and mic it may work that way..
Maybe Steam will realise they will probably sell a lot more links if they configure it so it will also be able to use something like team speak if it is wired and not set up wireless.. Wireless could cause more problems then it is worth because of so many different frequences having to be available etc. plus having to conform to the wireless and transmit laws and freqs of other countries.

Can you play rocket league multiplayer on steam link? If it does, I'm in.

splitscreen multiplayer works fine with upto 4
but fps is tough with the extra 1-2 frames of display lag

but games like overcooked or super blood hockey or the lego games are more suited for it
