I really get mad when people complain about free mods that get released on steam.

Why don't you go buy AAA games from Electronic Arts or ubisoft or something like that for 100 dollars and use your time playing those games instead of ♥♥♥♥♥ posting on discussions for a game made by 1 simple person?

You didn't pay a dime for this mod, if you didn't like it then why don't you just uninstall it and then continue your life without insulting anybody?

You miss my point, I'm not talking about all kind of free games. I'm not talking all kinds of mods either. You can rant about commercial free to play games made by big companies or mods that are sold for money as much as you like and I don't give a rats ass about it.

I don't have any problem with different opinions, and I have no problem with constructive criticism. But I rarely see that kind of criticism from people these days.
What I do have problem with is, just plain, stupid INSULTS, making jokes about it and overall complete ♥♥♥♥♥ posting. Especially if it's NOT a commercial product.

All I'm trying to say is if you are complaining about a non-commercial free mod there should at least be common courtesy.

See, this game was not made by a company, was not made by a team, It was developed by one person as a hobby and probably that person didn't have any professional developing experience. He probably made it in order to improve his skills in his spare time, as a hobby and decided to share it with the rest of the world.

If you don't like it, you should give your negative opinion with respect to the person who wasted valuable time of his life, and worked on this as a hobby not to make money. You can make suggestions which you think might improve this game etc. Mod developers do not have an obligation to make perfect games. That's what everbody's trying to do already. But sometimes people can fail to make a nice game.

If you cannot make a civilized comment about a free mod you should not install mods because mods are not made to be perfect, most of them are inferior to AAA products made by big companies. That's the nature of mod developing.
I personally don't take mods for granted, and love it when I discover a good mod around hundreds of other bad mods. But I don't waste my time making stupid negative comments about all the bad mods out there.

If you find a mod that's beautiful, consider yourself lucky and be thankful. But if don't like a mod, it's a bad idea to make fun of mod developer, or being angry about like if "to play a good mod is your birthright".

I understand Steam is not Moddb and people have higher level of expectations when installing a game on steam. But even those people should understand the difference between a mod and a product. And behave accordingly when writing negative comments.

If I was the developer reading these posts, I would certainly quit bugfixing and trying to improve the shortcomings of the game. Hell, I would probably quit working on any computer software whatsoever. If that's what you guys aim for, then congratulations, you are the very definition of internet troll.

"You miss my point" If that was your point, then you constructed your previous comment very badly to deliver it. Also, free or not, it's still a product, even if it's a mod.

I played the mod, and I have seen seen a lot of Half-Life series mods and various free games that are done way better than this.
