Split-screen available?

I miss Motorstorm. I don't have a PS3 anymore and they were not clever enough to make a new Motorstorm on PS4 or even make a remaster of the old ones.

I am looking for something as close to Motorstorm Pacific Rift as possible, on PC.....and I think this Insane 2 is for the moment the closest thing I found.

I *do not* like weapons on cars so don't recommend me PAM or Gas Guzzlers or whatever.

So two simple questions:

- is there something newer or better than this, or more similar to Motorstorm, on PC?
- is local multiplayer (split screen) available in this game? Can you choose between horizontal and vertical split?

Game has split-screen, vertical only (from a quick look) & you need an xBox controller as it doesn't support any others (so no steering wheel :/ ).

It's kinda like Motostorm, arcade racing through checkpoints. Although I prefer the original Insane or any of the FlatOut series to this game.
