Choices having minimal effect [Spoilers]
Did anyone feel that most choices you made didn't affect the story in any meaningful way? Most choices result in a few different lines of dialogue, then you get almost entirely the same story until the next choice.

For example if you pick specific choices you get a fight between Fredic and Franz but it you don't pick those exact choices there's no fight even though the plot is almost entirely identical. I feel the game would have been better if the fight always happened but the results were different depending on choices made during the game (such as helping Aretha would make Franz think to use his wind magic to propel himself at Fredic). This would make the result of the fight based on specific choices, rather than adding arbitrary numbers to relationships. It would also make it easier for the player to determine how their choices would affect the outcome.

I've been "playing" for 30 minutes and haven't had any choices really at all! Just hitting the return button. I'm not sure why this game has such good reviews...

The world building is good.

I got more into the story later.

I got the graduation ending and it felt incomplete. Just Franz and Aretha, but nothing on Elise and Frederick. And no Romance even though it seemed like it could be going that way - They should have at least mention Frederick and Elise even if they didn't go to the graduation for some reason.

The endings reflect the relationships you created throughout the game. So if the Franz and Aretha relationship is the highest the ending will only focus on them. By contrast a high Elise and Frederick relationship will focus on their ending.

Then there's the "special ending".

Thanks, but not to mention the other 2 characters at all...makes me feel cheated or at least disappointed.
