is there more to the game?

i feel like i am missing alot even after finishing this game, is this only a first chapter thing, i didn't even see the character in their other customs.

A decent chunk of the game requires you to make it to a certain ending in order to be able to play through it.

If you feel like there's still more, you probably haven't gone far enough. Try looking through some guides if you're stuck.

I finished the game, but my gallery is only 44%...I don't get it.

Also, I thought there would be some romance when the character"s faces were +1
The game was okay, but ending seemed rushed.

You most likely did not reach the "true route", which is considerably longer than any other route. If I remember right, it requires you to get all the relationships to 3, which might or might not require you to make very specific choices. Better find a guide if you want to be certain.
