what is this? pirate compass bringing me to mysterious box

heyy so i noticed that my pirate compass was definitely not pointing me to luggage (in fact, it was bringing me out to sea) and ended up leading me to a weird box buried in the sand out off the coast of SHORE... not sure why.

was it chained and glowing? if so you found the VERY rare ancient luggage, I'm quite sure you found out already but these hold the mythical items that you can only otherwise grab in ancient statues.

the compass just points to the nearest closed box to you so it probably just spawned out there. Would be a cool easter egg to have a hidden pirate treasure that only spawns if you have the pirate compass on the beach thou.

zomg the [ word redacted by steam mods for violating ToS ] compass actually does something. I thought it just pointed north, and my friend said the [ word redacted by steam mods for violating ToS ] compass was useless.
