PEAK
Audio Issues
so the game runs great, but i am experiencing audio issues. Everything is set to the correct audio settings between the game and my pc. I'll start expeditions with my friends and I can hear them fine, then a minute will go by and I will suddenly stop being able to hear anyone all together and they won't be able to hear from me. The rest of the game audio works fine in terms of the environment, its just the voice chat that stops randomly.

Not sure what the fix for this is because everything is validated on my end and this has happened with both Vulkan and DX12.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hello! Really sorry about this, we will take a look!
yes take a look at it, it ruins the hold game
@botten Hanna , we are still having issues getting voice chat to work as well. Sounds are good, but proximity chat is a no-go.
Voice chat absolutely did not work for me and a friend both playing on steam deck today. We were both using AirPods over Bluetooth connected to our decks. Sometimes we’d hear a VERY noisy far away voice even though we were right next to each other but that was it. We gave up for now. Hope this issue is fixed soon because this game looks so fun.

Hey there! So I played the game on Friday night and all worked fine. Booted it up today and nobody could hear me. Tried every combination of settings, reinstalled the game and still nothing. 😕
happens to my friend and me when one of us leaves and restarts the game. only fix is to both restart
Try This: Go to Steam 'Settings' in the top left of Steam, where you find your Friends and Game tab. Once in settings, go to 'Storage', click the three dots button that looks like '...', and then click 'Browse Folder'. This should open up Steam apps. Then go to the 'Common' folder, click 'Peak', and then click 'PEAK_Data' folder. Click 'Managed' folder. Delete these three files: PhotonVoice.API.dll, PhotonVoice.dll, and PhotonVoice.PUN.dll. Now close File Explorer and go back to Steam, bring up Peak. Go to the 'peak settings', 'Properties', 'installed files', and then 'Verify integrity of game files'. Allow Steam to reinstall the files that you just deleted, and hopefully that fixes them. If you think you're having problems with mods launch in vanilla and test if audio works there first.

This worked for me. Thank you very much. Just a note that once I did this, the voices volume in audio settings was set to 0.00 and microphone mode was set to push to talk.
