Do I need to cook once or twice for each food? Do I need campfire to cook egg or just throw it on the ground?

cook once is enough, can use fire from airplane crash site, campfire, hot area in Caldera/Klin, stand near molted rocks???, portable stove

Do the coconut at the beginning on the plane wing so you don't have to carry it.

Honey - I generally find honey every game and try to keep it for Kiln, so it shouldn't be too hard to carry it into the next zone if you don't find a portable stove. Cooked honey gives a huge stam boost.

Winterberry - I just take them off the Cappy Blappy's in the snow and cook at the top.

Egg - cook before Kiln but don't keep because they kind of suck.

IIRC, only the coconut needs to be cooked.
But if you want to be sure, cook all of it.

The egg, thrown at the ground in lava region does not get registered as cooked, so if you want it to be cooked, you will have to cook it over fire, not only at (hot) stones.
But you can open it, at the ground and cook it, after, if you want to.
