Highlanders loosing their immortality
I am pretty sure this is a feature and not a bug, but let me complain about it anyway. At a certain population number (around 600ish in stone age) old highlanders seem to have a chance to loose their highlander trait randomly and die of old age. I know because I meticiously sacrificed everyone who wasn't immortal. I guess it is good for performance but it ruins my "no graveyard run".

Edit: Something else seems to be going on. Looks like my filters had stopped working correctly. When I finally researched tudor architecture all of a sudden my population was full of non immortal trait guys, even though I had the population tab open every minute and checked for the other traits. With Tudor I had to throw away around three hundred Nuggets at once, to get my population "clean" again. I have been using the population filters for many games now and I don't think I did something wrong.

They only have a 60% chance to pass on the trait. So you will have many other non highlanders. Sometimes the population sorting will bug out and not display properly.

I know, I had been killing all non immortals by hand and grinder. The problem was that the population list did not display me all the "unworthy" correctly, so I couldn't cleanse them. A game hickup i suppose.

Part of the issue is that it won't list children. So you have to wait until they are 2 years old.

I've done what you've done. I've selectively bread them.

You can sort the population list by traits though. However, any sorting you do resets after 5 mins back to the default. I have no idea why they coded it that way.

Anyway, I will load up a save and play with sorting by trait and see if I can see the bug you mentioned.

I have selectively bread entire planets without this ever happening, so that's why I first assumed the game took away traits. I am not sure if you can reproduce this, and if it happens to me again all I can send you is a save file which looks "ordinary". Maybe I did something wrong, I can't rule out user error.

And I already knew about the list not showing the children. I usually grab these directly off the street, or the schools, while screaming "give me your children, your god HUNGERS" on the top of my lung, so my neighbors can also enjoy my gaming experience.

Dave, I have finally figured out what happened back then. When you select the townhall and assign a nugget, it needs an educated nugget at some point.

Now when you close the window, the next time you open up the population overview by clicking top right, not the town hall, it still filters for educated nuggets, it stays ticked from the town hall interaction. So that's how I couldn't find the non immortals, they were hidden as long as they had no education.

Ahhhhh yeah. I think if you sort by education, it stays until it's undone manually. That might be a bug though. I think it's supposed to all reset after a few mins. I'll ask the dev who did the population list.
