Graphical errors on mac?
This game works great on my PC, but I tried to play it on my Macbook and get weird ghosting/graphical issues, where menus like...burn into the screen and overlay on top of each other? If I open a menu and then go back to the main menu, there will be a big black splotch with the menu settings still burned onto it, or if I click new game I'll have like 20 instances of the options where each frame burned onto the screen and layered over each other. I've played with the graphic settings but can't seem to fix it.

Note this game does NOT (and probably never will) support the M1 or M2 Macs. The engine the game is coded in only supports intel Macs. If they upgraded the version of Unity to the version that supports non intel Macs, it would take months and months of programming unfortunately.

While the game does support the open GL API and metal API on Macs, non intel Macs must use the internal Rosetta in MacOS to emulate an intel CPU which causes some serious issues with Universim unfortunately.

This is also mentioned in the system requirements on the store page that the game only supports Intel based Macs.

MINIMUM:
OS: MacOS 10.X or higher. Game is not compatible with M1 Macs

However, they just haven't updated that to say it also doesn't work on M2 Macs

Problem also persists on an i9 (2019 model) macbook pro. Scrolling shows ghosting and the startscreen as well. Clicking "new game" causes the overlay menu to ghost completely onto the screen as if the previous draw is not properly cleared or something.

For folks on M1/M2 Macs that probably won't ever see improvements: the game runs surprisingly well in CrossOver.

Same here, just bought the game, but have the menu flicker and overlap, in the game got the white flashes where it should be some reflections from water i guess, black rectangles where the "infected area" is located and a non working return button in the observatory, so once you manage to get there it is game over, no return to the planet, the only way back to game is loading.
@Dave: if the game doesn't support M1/M2/M3 -> most probably it should be marked as MacOs non-compatible. BTW there are plenty of games using Unity and running as smooth as hell on macs. Constant update of frameworks you use is a sign of well established development habits, if upon release your product already is a legacy you're gona have trouble supporting it.

Just bought the game...the menus are almost unusable due to these issues. Here is a screenshot: Screenshot [imgur.com]. The screen is not moving in that screenshot.
