Hated after destroying planet cracker thing
So I survived an alien invasion and killed the cracker. I did it way out of town with no one near but now my nuggets hate me and I am considered evil. Like I just saved their tiny nugget butts and none of them were killed in the process so how am I the bad guy. They literally set a giant crab machine to murder all my nuggets and I am the bad one?
Go Figure. Simply no pleasing some nuggets

they don't hate you, they fear you, it's a fear/love meter

i mean you did just destroy a behemoth with ungodly powers, that's pretty scary

i think it makes sense, but it's obviously simplified and quick as heck in game form, it's like watching someone violently slaughter bad guys in front of you, while grateful, super afraid

This is true, but strangely prior to each stage of the invasion I got a massive boost in power, like right up to 1000. After the invasion the narrator mentioned sacrificing lots of nuggets. And my population I noticed dropped although I didn't directly kill any of them. I believe the game might have automatically snuffed a few nuggets to ensure I had enough power to defeat the Cracker. I don't mind this to be honest. Now being feared/hated has seriously reduced my power regeneration and has made the game a lot harder and more interesting. Now to get back in the nuggets good graces as the space age approaches for me ;)

it sounds fun to play a good god, i can never stick to it

if you don't regularly sacrifice, your population ends up being full of bad traits, the worst ones i think are laziness and hermit, so i always end up pruning regularly

sacrifice also has the added benefit of maxing out your believers, my favorite trait is 'sure footed' for more nugget move speed, second is probably workaholic

Their feeling towards you is easily pushed from fear to love with a few 'good' miracles. Make it rain when they need water. Plant some trees. Give them a jolt of joy. Your temple will soon look less evil and more placid.

All the variations on genetics in the game have both good and bad traits. For example, your hardest workers eat more which means you need to build more farms. You may have favourite traits, but they are not better, they just amuse you more.

Some of them are pretty bad, is there better documentation? As far as I can tell, only the starting menu selected traits have side effects. If not, surely we can agree move 25% faster for free is better than eat 25% more for no reason.

That said I do think that some are just objectively better, Immunity only affects a small amount of nuggets every now and then unless you are failing to manage pollution. At least, compared to a permanent 25% stamina or move speed buff. Eat less isn't bad because it results in less eating breaks, though.

I'll ask about this, but I think that only the starter traits have side effects. If you need a bit more help, I can recommend you join The Universim discord. Everyone is pretty active there, including the developers https://discord.gg/theuniversim

can you not just move nuggets to the far side of a planet where they die of starvation or thirst as a way of good killing them

My town ended up pretty big on Huge with 700~ nuggets, so there weren't too many isolated spots far away enough and you get a lot of thirst/hunger decreases. That said I recommend sacrificing them, they die immediately and you get CP, it's essentially a nugget refund you can use to get a nugget back via Cupidon. (Or 1:5, 1:10 on rapid regen when max'd fear)

But yeah, all that's important is that they die if you want to do selective mating, doesn't matter which way.

By 'good god' though I mean doing anything that hurts nuggets, not necessarily the meter. Not removing bad trait nuggets or causing any disasters even if it's through indirect means.

Also interested in a more hands-off run where I try to make them self sufficient with no god powers what-so-ever, god knows I don't have the patience for that though.
