Why does my computer make hum sound or little buzz sound
So far seems only this game I get humming sound from my PC can't tell if it from my GPU or other part since I figured out last time was my power supply so got new one been working fine for long time then now started up again. It only when I play this game it did happen on other game evil genius 2 but figured out what was causing that so now doesn't do it anymore.

I just get this low humming/buzzing like sound it doesn't do it till in game and starts doing it mid way through playing then goes away then comes back then goes away then starts up again at times louder wont go away.

Some reason the game made the screen bigger then what suppose to be so size it to the right size my monitor is then now it seems to no longer really do it at all.

Though in Universim it the screen size is right so not sure why it does it and only does it half way into the game or at times right away but goes away for long while then starts up again.

The noise is -typically- the CPU's fan kicking on. Or the graphic card's built in fan if it has one. They kick on to avoid overheating. I'm not savvy enough to be able to explain why Universims is explicitly making it happen (that is to say I couldn't really tell you what to look for.)

You might try lowering some of the graphic settings to see if it helps.

I know an app called "Speccy". It is used to check your hardware specs, it has a SMART to check the harddrive health… but more important in this case has a temperature check, while running the game if you can use that app you may see is some hardware is overheating

The gpu fans are not overheating as I have msi afterburner the gpu heat only gets up to like 40 and I normally have fans set on low to keep it lower but even when fans off it still makes the sound. It only starts when game starts up not in the menu or anything after load my file it use to never make this sound when playing it before. I been looking up lot stuff about why only certain games it does it too. It will do it too if world of warships in window mode but stops completely if in full screen.

I have MSI afterburner it checks gpu heating but this noise only starts up when start up my save file but not in the main menu or anything. I will take look into this to see if it can find anything I just put in a new harddrive few months back.

I was also seeing about moving the folders into my new harddrive since it has way more room but not sure if it will also move the save files with it so don't have to start over again.

Seen it said The Universim is a bit cpu intensive.. Might be your cpu fan running faster then normal.. Might just be loud.. or bearing could be going out on it

so would just need new cpu or just new fan?

Yeah , the game is VERY CPU demanding which can cause systems with cooling issues to heat up.

would getting a better cpu fan help with that? would say the cpu fan sorta nearing old age but my cpu amd ryzen 7 1700X eight core

The fan might just be loud from the way it's designed.. If your not having heat issues, it may be ok. Might try blowing it out with some compressed air, and see if it runs any quieter. If it comes down to it, a new fan is much cheaper then a new CPU.. if your not having performance issues with any games, I'd just swap the fan out.

A better CPU fan may help if you are overheating. If it doesn't, you may have to re apply the thermal paste and heat sync.

thing is not sure if it really overheating since when run game it like at 38% so in like the middle would say but I think could try dust out the fan but probably would get a better fan since it might be seeing the age like the psu.

I have to give that try and not really have any performance issues at all and not really dealing with too much overheating at all just soon as game starts up the noise starts if i go into research menu the noise sorta goes away completely then starts up again. It use to go away when zoom in and starts up again when zoom out.
