the protection bubble over an exile village
title.. does it ever go away? this feature is new since my last play through.

You need to destroy it with God powers. Takes a lot to destroy it. Multiple asteroid strikes or many many lightening strikes, etc..

Or you can send in soldiers from the barracks. If I remember correctly they can walk through it and attack.

Yeah. The bubble prevents you from using God magic of anything inside it. Nuggets don't even know it's there and can walk straight through it.
