Getting rid of the annoying whip vines

Is there any way to deal or get ride of the vines protruding out of the ground? They're leaving to many nuggets dead and infected. Not to mention taking up available building space.

This is exactly what I did. Thanks though, I was able to rid of every one of them through out my planet.

This is only on the Halloween planet. It's supposed to have a LOT of vines. The halloween planet is harder than the default planet.

oh i didnt realize this was on that new world haha thought it was the vine you place the camp ontop of. but good to know for the future
