How do I earn discovery points?

You need to complete Root of the Problem quest, and then research Speleology and place Expedition Camp on that hole. After that send nuggets to caves

this aint no problem after upgrading the camp, yes more nuggets die but they can carry more so no need to drop anything haha

Exactly, and you can cure them and feed them when they are inside the caves, they find objects, tools , you order to camp and they can rest and refill morale too.

The problem is this mechanic require lot of attention
