I found an Easy way to find lost nugget child.
For the lost nugget quest. If you click on the stone hut the child lives in, you can click on his portrait and be taken directly to him. Very nice if he happend to wander very far away. :steamhappy:

You are right. I use this method as well lol. There was one time where it was a bit harder to do, and that was when there were more than 6 nuggets living in the hut. It said +1 ( or something letting me know that there were more ) and when I clicked on it, there was a back button. I had to travel around, with hut window open, and check each white beam nugget lol. "Help! Ma!"

Lol at least looking for the beam helped you.

you can also listen for the wolves, they start howling when they find a baby

I just listened the howling

That quest isnt hard anymore. First because the nugget is rather close to the village. He always is in a circle of a couple hundreds of meters from the village. Before, he could be on the other side of the planet ...

He also calls for help and wolves makes a lot of noises too (and they are flashy so easy to spot).

No really even without doing the house trick thing, you should spot him easily.

Each time that I've restarted the game I use the stone hut method of finding him but I'm also noticing that each time that I find it, he's hidden under a fallen tree with the wolves around, since trees don't just fall on their own in this game if you wanted to try to find it without using the hut I think you could just look for a fallen tree with wolves around it.

Maybe it's not a 100% foolproof way of finding the nugg, because prior to steam release I found one just wandering around in a forest with no wolves but perhaps they changed it in their big steam release update.

I have yet to find a lost nugget. House trick doesn't work anymore as the game actually generated a nugget and placed it someplace without it having ever actually been born.

I started a new game with the latest update and to be quite honest, I'm so over looking for that nugg. This isn't fun, it's work, it's a chore, it's boring when you don't even have any clues where it might be now.

It may well be on the otherside of the planet for all I know or care at this point.

To make matters even worse, the ignore quest or I'm on it buttons are not clickable in my game. So I guess it sits there in turpitude.

It's clicable if you scroll through all the quest text.

I saw that arrow button but figured it looked more like a "play" button for a video so I didn't bother to click on it.

Thanks for the info Tyanu Khah

I use this method too. My eyesight sucks so searching manually is very tough for me.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how didn't I think of that before.

I tried the hut method but the game generated a child nugget that doesn't actually belong to any of my families. I only have three families right now and all of their children are accounted for and have a different name. With the planet scroll being so slow, the planet being huge, and it being difficult to see the small nugget in the first place, I have no clue how to complete this quest in this version.

EDIT: apparently the trick now is to follow the howling? Not super accessible for folks who can't hear or don't play with the sound on.
