"Global Warming" more like Deleting Ozone

"A lack of trees and high levels of pollution will raise the global temperature over time,..."

You do realize, that sort of thing will take epic amount of time to happen, the earths core, planets orbit around the sun and the ozone layer are much, much more influential, not to mention meteorites.

Our planet has fluctuating temperatures for hundreds of thousands of years, and it gradually has always risen again after another ice age happens every 100k years and lasts for 90k years, global warming happens naturally on it's own anyways. Only thing peeps do is speed things along, or instead of an Ice Age could create Water World because of the gradual melting of ice caps and etc. in certain amounts that eventually won't cause a sudden temp drop when it all gets released as there isn't much to be released anymore to the sea.

So yeah don't put peeps on that high of a pedestal in terms of changing global temperature, just change the planets orbit little bit and you might get 50 degree changes.

Also it's not really global warming if it's getting colder in certain places, more like the ozone layer is getting ♥♥♥♥ed by us and the icecaps are being released to the seas and cooling everything down mostly that are near the sea, places that are though further away from sea will experience extreme high temps. More like Global Ozone ♥♥♥♥age is what we're doing.

Will be getting the game anyways, love god games, wish this would have the graphics of From Dust, and ability to play with lava, water and sand too.

The game is highly abstracted and they aren't aiming for realism. The mother planet itself is considered alien to ours, and the "nuggets" are more advanced than we were in general. I mean, one of the first buildings available to build is a water pump in the stone age.

Not sure about advancemnt if they are able to mess up their planets surface temperature in a short amount of time. Unless you mean in terms of more advanced tech to make the entire planet barren within years.
Not sure how the time scales here.
Well have to see how the time scales and how much the temp changes overtime when you make significant changes.

Considering the game will be early access, we could ask for more features as they are open to being the best god game out there with loads of old features from other god games and new ones too.

As far as the scientific community is concerned (the only people with the knowledge worth listening too on the subject), it is extremely likely that humanity is increasing the average global temperature by the continued emission of greenhouse gases (mainly carbon dioxide). It's only taken us, at most, 300 years (since the beginning of the industrial revolution) to have this effect. That's really not that much time.

they probably do realise it takes a lot of time to happen.... but didnt you see the part where you pretty much start from the very dawn of nugget kind and are there from cavenugget time to the spacenugget age? lol

also your a god, so technically you was there from eve before then, technically if your playing the god then you created that planet and all the universe. unless this game is pushing a theme of god being created from the minds of the nuggets, of which would fit reality seeing as the idea of god is just a idea that we humans made, thus we made god really as its only a idea, but yeah, the game will be covering all time, safe to say that 1 second in game maybe something like 10 years lol

So therefore, we can adjust how long a planet takes to go through global warming events. Our game design team are very good at figuring out balance and do not mind making changes when it is needed. plus the game would be a bit lame without global warming. global warming adds a visible consequence to your actions. kinda cool, i may wreck a planet on purpose just to see how cool it looks.... or how hot it looks ;)

True, the game is doing more of a Greenhouse effect, where everywhere is just getting hotter, either by getting closer to the sun, the planets temp rising (water/ground/air on or the other or all, eventually anyways), higher atmosphere pressure, or atmosphere structure changing. Without the ice melting and spreading to cool it down.

Normally you would have continuous polar cap growth at the time of 10k years of hot period, then it releasing suddenly and experience the ice age for 90k years, and go through the cycle for thousands of years, our cycle has lasted over 2 million years so far, at the moment we should actually be in the start of ice age, but for 5k years we have done some much agriculture and everything else that has stacked up, we've basically delayed or maybe even stopped the temps from lowering gradually over hundreds of years, and are just experiencing the aftermath of stopping an oncoming ice age, nature is a careful balancing act after all.

Too get back to 100% oxygen, you have to replace every single tree your nuggets chopped down.. unless you replace as you go, it will take a lot more then 1000gp ;) Think one of my games I spent 4k-5k bringing it back up to where it started..

humans are messing up the planet in <200 yrs lol

And global warming can make it colder in various places also (at least for a short time) as it can cause violent swings in the climate and seasons

And if you removed 50% of the trees on earth, most living things would be dead in a VERY VERY short period of time due to lack oxygen and CO2 poisoning we would be dead long before it started heating up the planet though

Get a Masters or PhD in meteorology and or climatology, and then you'll be an expert in this area. Google and politicians are not experts in this area
