if you have temps from 75-125C umm that's your fault.. you're either not coolingit properly or you have tons of dust clogging the fans, etc OR you have it OCed to much
I certainly do agree that the CPU cores is lacking. I do not know if I should look into getting an update for the CPU on the laptop... I'd probably be better off getting a new one though this thing is only a year old from when I bought it.
Laptops are notorious for getting hot when not properly ventilated. The games CPU/GPU useage is not enough that it should cause the issues that you are stating. I run this off of the following laptop and never go aboe 70c.

My recommendation is to do a thorough cleaning of your fans intake and channels. Also, try running with something that keeps the bottom of the laptop off the table for more airflow.
Another thing to try is running in a clean start environment where you don't have a bunch of applications running in the background. Some applications can cause the issues you are having.
Won't be the first time I've had to open the laptop case though. First few months I had it, some keys on the keyboard weren't working due to the connector not being securely connected, manufacturers fault I suppose.
I have a home compressor so I shot the air into the back vent of the laptop and watched it blow out everywhere. Had I to do it over again (and I have), I'd stick a Q-Tip into the back vent to secure the GPU and CPU fans (don't know if that's even possible on yours), as I didn't the first time I think I overspun one of the fans to where after that, it would make a strange noise for about the first minute after startup.
However... It did reduce the CPU temperature quite a bit when using it for gaming.
I still use that laptop, and when I see dust bunny buildup on things like the LAN port of USB or SATA ports then I blow it out again and see all the dust fly everywhere.
Don't know about yours but mine weighs in around 9lbs and is more of what used to be called a desktop replacement rather than a laptop. Too heavy to take anywhere anymore.
Note to self: Do it outside next time!
I have an old 4 Core I7 4790K (desktop). I run it not overclocked right now, and this morning, i started a new game and reached max of 65°c during a storm, where i noticed the game engine to be more intense.
Yes, that game can hit the CPU hard, but once again, if it is running that hot then there an issue with your computer.
Yes I am using the laptop atm. Just opened it a little while ago and then put it back together, gotta get the stuff I need first in order to maintenance this thing.
Besides the drive booster... already have the other two... sooo it isn't really that. It's my laptop fan, and probably the factory applied thermal paste which I plan to fix once the new stuff gets here I just ordered.
