SS Downloads

Does anyone know what happened to the site SubSpace Downloads eg. Who the creator was? Its a shame to see all those resources ( thousends of banners and client skins ) go to waste.

A player named Testube hosted subspace downloads. He shut it down some years back and the torch was not passed afaik. There was some drama around the events before and after, but I don't know clearly what went on. Very unlikely it will ever return. Some folks that claimed to be in possession of the bulk of the files hinted at making them available in some form, but that vaporized.

Subspace.co has restarted and will feature all files, or at least, that is the plan from what i've heard. A few other people have backup of the original files as well.

I have what is supposed to be an SSDownloads backup. Seems like it has all files. Ill be putting up at continuumzone.com soon. Ill also try and put it up on the cloud somewhere. Hallucination (chaos zone sysops) has already received a copy. If you guys need anything specifically let me know and i can start with that.

Not to necro old posts, but have we lost all the old mod download sites? Is there any chance of getting steam workshop up and running for this game?

Steam Workshop seems like a great idea, IF people would upload... Not sure if you can mass-upload there either. But would be an ideal place.
