Report a translation problem
We'll never know unless it comes from the devs, if it was anything financial I'm sure we would of heard something from the devs saying they have no other option but to discontinue further development. It probably is because the devs just lost interest in their own game, it happens quite a lot with early access games.
As Austin recommended -- get a refund while you can... and be glad you still can -- some of us still have multiple copies we won't even give away [you don't give away a game you know doesn't work]...
