100% completion - nearly game breaking glitch! JP3 - The Bird Cage - Spinosaurus Showdown

I was in story mode, and everything was normal as I got to the last section. I collected the first mini kit by hitting the 4 buoys. After blasting the target, I jumped across the rafts to the next section and saw a crawl space for a child character to go to. This is where I got the glitch. As I lifted the large item with the crane, suddenly the mini kit flew up at me, and I thought it counted. I was wondering how it happened, but didn't think to stop the game. I collected the last mini kit by building the shell on top of the building.

Well, going back through free play, I can no longer get the mini kit from the crawl space, there was a blue stud in its place. In this game save, I am forever stuck with 9/10 mini kits, even restarted the game to see if that fixed it. Word to the wise, if this happens to you, don't let it finish the level and save this glitchy progress.

I will be taking a break from this game, and trying again when I have done something else to cool down, maybe give it a couple months before starting over.
