Gyrosphere pads not working. Bug report, need help!

Hello guys,
I just got stuck in the Jurassic World campaign right after I got the two gyrosphere vehicles. There is a special "gyrosphere pad" on the ground there that I need the vehicle to interact with to open the way into the valley (which is now blocked by blue poles). The DNA-shaped ingame tip tella me to hold "L" while standing on the pad with the gyrosphere, but when I do that, NOTHING HAPPENS.
I've watched some gameplay videos on YouTube and apparently the gyrosphere should start rotating in place and the blue poles should slide into the ground, but in my game it doesn't happen.
So far I've tried to...
a) switch characters
b) change controls from "L" to various other keys
c) quit and restart the game
d) start a new game in case my first save was corrupted somehow
...nothing helped.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

I'll be thankful for any suggestions!

Are you using a controller? By 'L' it means just push the left control stick forward to make the gyrosphere spin on the pad.

If that doesn't help you could do what I did and make use of the two gyrospheres by leapfrogging over the poles. I was able to jump off the pad onto the other gyro and bounce over.

Lots of the collision detection is bugged if you don't turn on Vsync. Try turning on that in the Video Settings menu. Doing this will also fix the raptor pounce problem.

Thanks for the tips guys! Unfortunately, the problem persists.

@SquOliver: I've turned Vsync on but nothing changed. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do; I see no difference.
@aiko: I'm using a keyboard. I've set the controls so that the "Special" ability is activated by pressing the letter L key. (But as I've said, I tried to reset and change the controls several times.)
I was eventually able to jump over the poles as you said, but it didn't help much: there is another gyrosphere pad in the valley beyond the poles which is needed to open the big gate, and it's also broken.

i have the same thing. i was playing with the raptors on JW and i need to use the 'L' thing i do not know what that is and i hit the L key on my PC and nothing happens i need help whit this please

It didn't work for me at first as well, after a few persistant ways of approuching the pad it somehow worked. I used Zach or whatever the older one name is, as Gray was stuck on the otherside after bouncing over.

I don't think the gyro pads are activated by special ability? I might be wrong but each time I approuch a pad, the gyrosphere auto goes ontop of it (the animation is pretty obvious as it looks like it sucks the sphere in)

Since you mentioned you're on playing on keyboard, have you tried pushing and holding the up key when you're secured onto the pad? or are you completely unable to even station on the pad?.

@kazboards: In my game the raptors' pouncing ability is activated by pressing and holding the special ability key (in my configuration it's "L" but in your game it may be different, check it out in Options->Controls). After holding that key for a little less than a second, a target appears which can be moved by arrow keys (or WSAD or whatever keys you're using to navigate your character). It works the same way as aiming with a gun, only this time you target the pounce bar. Note that you must be some distance away from the bar; if you're right under it the bar can't be targeted for some reason.
You could also try to turn Vsync on as SquOliver suggested. It didn't do anything for me but apparently some people who had problems with raptor pouncing were able to solve the issue this way.

@aiko:Yes, when I approach the pad, my gyrosphere automatically jumps onto it. But that's as far as the interaction goes. It doesn't do anything when I hold "L", and when I use any arrow key while standing on the pad and holding "L", the gyrosphere moves in that direction and exits the pad.

I hope that there is a patch on the way as the dynamic splitscreen can get stuck disabled.

Also I seem to have issues dropping out when playing as player 2.

Seems the gyrosphere pads also break from time to time.

Have also had issues with characters getting stuck under / above the map.

Loading screens not displaying at the correct 1080p resolution with black boarders on all sides of the screen.
