You will have to replay each level in free play to unlock additional items like minikits and amber stones. Some items are available in story mode, but not all. You must collect amber stones, because they unlock dinosaurs that you can play with (in free play and free roam) or even customise them. You can free roam around the islands as soon as the game let you after finishing certain missions. During missions break things as much as possible as they might hide items that you need. In nutshell, have fun with it.
When in freeplay mode, can I choose wich characters I take with me? I cant play now because of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead end depressing ♥♥♥♥ job :(
Hello, this is Indy. Greetings from Canada!!
You can also break up things for more studs!!! If you liked Jurassic World, I would recommend the other LEGO games: The Hobbit, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman. I love these games for they're so much fun!!! I play them with my Xbox 360 controller for Windows-- yes, there is such a thing.
I don't know where or what time zone you live, but I stronlty recommend you take time to introduce yourself to the wide wonderful world of LEGO games. They're on sale right now--the whole LEGO franchise.
If you need anymore help, please let me know. I'm always here.
Sincerely yours always,
Indy.
Except LEGO Hobbit remains incomplete.
- Gold bricks
- Red bricks (can unlock abilities like stud multiplication, brick detection and faster interaction with switches)
- Sick Dinos you can collect objects to heal (first seen in the second level of JP)
- Photo opportunities (you need a character with a camera, like Sarah Harding from TLW or Gray from JW)
Once you've completed that movie, you can travel around the corresponding area in free play mode, helpful for achieving objectives you couldn't do before. In both the hub worlds and the game levels, there are Lego objects you can interact with (mainly destroying) to get studs (the in-game currency). Interacting with objects, like building objects, also produce studs. Studs can also be found on the ground.
Once you've completed the first level, you'll arrive at the Isla Nublar Jurassic Park hub at the helipad, where you have the option of continuing the Jurassic Park levels or taking the monorail to start the Jurassic World levels. The Lost World hub and levels become available once the JP levels are complete, and JP3 becomes available when TLW levels are completed.
The levels themselves are standard, where once you've completed the story mode (given specific characters to play the level through), you can replay in free play mode (any character you've unlocked and/or purchased and you can choose any of these to play as at any time in the level). You've got several objectives, namely
- True Survivor (collecting a specific number of studs),
- collecting 10 minikits (which form a dino skeleton that when complete, you can play as) and
- obtaining an amber brick (unlocks a dino you can play as, same type as the skeleton in the minikits)
You also unlock a number of characters and a couple of vehicles. When in story mode, each level contains a minute or so of cutscenes, providing context for the level. Unless it's your first time playing the level for that save file, you can choose to skip the cut scene.
