Remove player 2?

Playing on PC, my son accidently hit F2 and brought the second player in. It was also saved in this state. Is there a way to remove the second player without restarting the game?

go to the main menu and select drop out it removes player two in most cases

you gotta press the pause button of player 2 to drop out with this player. if you dont know the button you gotta go to the control settings in the menu. hope this helpz

Step 2 : use arrow keys to move to "Drop out"

yeah my sister and i have always loved lego games and as such we play them together all the time. Trouble was she and i are used to console versions of lego games so we couldn't figure out how to get her player to drop out on the PC version once she stopped playing for a while without restarting the game or by dropping out player 1 by mistake. However after having a close inspection you can get player 1 to drop out by pausing the game with the esc button then scrolling down to drop out button then (press normal enter button to drop player 1 out) or press the enter button on the num pad for player 2 to pause the game then scroll down to drop out and (press the number 2 on the num pad to drop player 2 out) Personally i don't see the point in having the feature to have (both players) drop out-able on the pc version but mehh i suppose it's a feature in all lego games so i guess it's a trademark annoyence more than anything.

No, I don't play any other Lego games, I normally play Skyrim, Civ, Red Alert and Dragon Age.

The problem is the majority of sane people play on a controller because the keyboard controls are awful. The game does this really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing where if you use a controller for player 1, then add a player 2 with keyboard, the keyboard becomes player 1 and the controller is now player 2. To drop out, you have to pause on the controller and Drop Out, then use keyboard to change input mode back to controller because there is no auto-swap.
