Good Luck :)
I've seen on YouTube that there's even a tanker truck that's supposed to slam into the T-Rex, causing a huge explosion. But because the T-Rex is running too close to my car, the tanker truck never shows up. There are two guys carrying a sheet of glass across the street that I'm supposed to crash into to collect a kit, but because the "timing" is off with my car running slower than the T-Rex, the two guys never show up to cross the road.
This "car too slow/T-Rex too fast" is an unfortunate glitch and thankfully appears to be the only one I've experienced. However, it is preventing me from completing the game. Seriously, these two kits are all I need to have all 200 kits, thus giving me my last gold brick to get 100% on the game. Any suggestions would be appreciated. BTW, I've got my game set on the lowest settings possible.
These two chase glitches truly need to be fixed through some sort of downloadable patch or something that keeps the T-Rex and the vehicle it's chasing at a set distance at all times.
I've only got about 5% of the game remaining, so this thing is getting on my nerves.
I'm not sure which of the options made a difference, but hopefully doing that will work for others.
I think all my settings in EFFECTS are set to OFF or LOW, but I'll double-check and try this. Otherwise I may have to consider your first idea and try to get that Minikit out of the T-Rex's mouth in Story Mode.
As it stands this is the only Minikit I lack and thus I'm short one Gold Brick from being 100%.
I'll try that too because so far nothing has worked.
That didn't work either. I've had all settings set to LOW or OFF and all settings set to HIGH or ON and I'm still unable to "outrun" the T-Rex in San DIego Streets. Ian's car is either too slow compared to the T-Rex, the T-Rex is just too fast for Ian's car, or a combination of both. Thus the T-Rex is just too close to Ian's car during the entire chase that it won't roar so I can throw chicken legs into its mouth. Every other try I might get lucky in getting one chicken leg in because the T-Rex goes wide to the side and circles back, putting enough distance between it and the car so it can roar, but that usually only happens once.
It's becoming an absolute frustrating situation because that kit from the T-Rex's mouth is the very last kit I need, thus getting me my very last gold brick, so I can get 100%. This glitch needs to seriously be overhauled STAT!!!!
Are you turning off all your Extras (multipliers etc.) aswell as having all Settings and Options low/off? I've had a few glitches where this has made a difference.
Sorry if this is something you've already tried.
Hope you find your answer :)
Nope, I haven't tried turning off all my Extras. I'm at the end of my rope with this one unattainable kit that I'll just about try anything right now. I've been tempted in just keying in a cheat code to get that one kit, but not sure how it will affect my Achievement. In other words, if I cheat will my Completion Achievements, etc. be withheld?
I'll try turning off all my Extras first and see what that gets me.
Well turning off all my Extras, with V-Sync on and then off, all Effect settings Low or Off as well as High and On still hasn't gotten me any closer to that Minikit. My sanity is in jeopardy because of this glitch.
I really hope that if a patch is being created, I hope it includes fixing this problem. As it stands, my next option is to key in a cheat code.
You could try changing the programs Compatability, running on older settings, in the 'exe' file Properties. I've just changed them for HP1-4 to give me smooth graphics on load-up screens.
Best of luck :)
