turn 60+ impossible/exploit build
697a119cf933d724f6280f94

hey, my best run in a while. was pretty unstoppable, but then ran into this abomination.

I dont mind getting my butt kicked, but the more I look at this build, the less I understand how that is possible without an endless UK-exploit.

Note how his entire ship is like completly maxed out at way below turn 90.

- he has no teleporters (for that huge, fully decked out crew)
- he has no cogs (to browse store)
- he has no ammo factories (money gen)
- he has no laika (for shop discounts)

in other words, he has no economy to support anything even remotely as stacked as this build

Is there a way to review the logs of the opponents run to see how and when he managed to get like 72+ hardened plates (6g epics) and another like 80ish Radar domes (8g epics) among like 25+ upgrades on his gemstones (only possible with SF, which also means: the SF wasnt upgrading anything else in that time)..

I'm very sorry, but for lack of any chance to pull this build off naturally i must conclude this is either cheating, an endless-Upgrade-Kit-exploit, or endless free flipping the store. For that reason, gamebreaking bug/explot im putting this in the bug reports as well, apologies.

Or am I missind something thats obvious to others?

got curious.

looked up the current top high-round record: 6968c3424ea5271f6975e160

he has at leas 44 upgrades across his ammo and gems. Since a stel forger can do this only ever other turn, that 88 turns of constant upgrades.

he also has at least 3 fully upgraded unique items (15+ upgrades), which need UK or steel forger.

other than that his entire ship is basically fully upgraded, but no economy items at all.

just how?

not to mention his railgun having like 4-5k dmg stacked... but nothing amplifying his dmg from what i can tell?! certainly not into the thousands?!

sooo.... has this game falles to hacks and exploits, or is there a reason to keep playing high-tier runs?

Im open to the possibility that Im missing some insanely powerful upgrade mechanic?! please enlighten me
oh this is my ship from when it was possible to have infinite money by stacking lots of laikas
the railgun damage is from mega bombs
thank you for explaining!

I fear i missed that meta.
Since you have not dozens, but no laika at all on your ship, i assume their discount works from your inventory? no need to deploy? I thought all things need to be deployed to take effect? And then you mus have like a dozen fully upgraded likas in your inventory, so any time you flip a store page everything is reduced to 0 instantly? Or how did that work? same thing with the SF, does he charge up when not deployed?
- So, does lika still work from the inventory?
- And does SF charge up when not deployed? in extension, teleporters and ammo factories?

--> on a different note, @Developer:

1. Please extract these builds from the pools!
Thats entirely game breaking and obviously an exploit and further (and worst): Since you cannot do this anymore, this is beyond competition, rendering high yield runs mechanically impossible.

2. Also: Please remove all those former stacked power-star-builds from the pools. I think one is by a player named GDD or something. I faced him like 5? 10? (why so often btw) times on the run, and with the core of his build being stripped its just a free win and not a combatant.

why does this matter?
I know you want to preserve builds to keep pools populated, but heres my counter-argument: You actually deplete the pools and playerbase by retaining broken builds in the pools. The GDD-nerfed builds dont matter, they just inflate pools, but the exploitative OP builds of the past, that no longer can be achieved or matches, effectively build a wall at their respective encounters --> so a potentially climbing build that could populate pools going up will get gropkicked by broken old builds = no new builds will ever get in those pools anymore, as theyre gatekept.
And if you will simply get knocked out repeatedly by impossible builds people who want to make high yield runs will simply stop playing. like me. bc, whats the fun in facing impossible builds?
and since i faced some really old builds of mine too, which dont even show on my profile anymore, maybe we could just hard reset all pools at some point? clean slate?

Or do an automatic, monthly clean up until you reach a point of having core-updates automatically reset all pools?

Whilst pools need to stay populated, i think having outdated and broken population is worse than having none and having it regrown.
laikas do work when in storage idk about anything else though, and encounter pool resets are planned as far as im aware
i just got sniped 3 more times in an otherwise very good run. this is very frustrating as its literal auto-default matchups facing fully stacked boat of yours already in like turn 25-30. gg.

thank you for explaining it to me! we need that pool reset badly!
