Cakewalk Sound Center

Cakewalk Sound Center

What is this?
This just popeed up in my Steam what it is?

Cakewalk Music Creator 6 Touch already has the sound center as a native plugin. I wonder if this is just a portable version you can use as a VST in any other software? I guess I'll have to try it out.

i read a bit of the terms, is it signing up to a monthly something? for a music package..
I hope not. I don't have any money for them to take! I installed it and as far as I can tell, it's nothing but a VST manager that for all I know was there to begin with. It took no time to download, so I don't think it added anything new.

It's a replacement for the original Sound Center release that was tied a bit too tightly to MCT6.

For instance I purchased the Sound Center DLC to use with Sonar X3, but it appears as a MCT6 download.

Cakewalk said they would fix things so the Sound Center and its DLC were no longer tied to only one product.

This doesn't fix any of the problems with not being able to use Sound Center content purchased on Steam on Sonar Platinum. I still cannot download the Sound Center content I purchased to have it working in Sonar Platinum. I no longer have Sonar X3 installed and want my content that I purchased to be usable in Sonar Platinum. I wish I had never bothered with the whole Sonar on Steam, it's a shambles.

That's a shame that it wasn't a complete fix. They should hop on that. But at least we know what this is now..

STEAM turned this on a bit to earlier and there's still a SONAR build pending with some changes that need to make it in. I'll be releasing some FAQ's on this shortly.

Denno, I replied in another post: http://steamcommunity.com/app/293140/discussions/0/617329150700198726/#c617330406660258223

Valve hasn't turned on all the DLC for the app yet, so it won't resolve the issue. Please extend some patience while we work with Valve and get all these turned on. SONAR and all the supporting apps are much larger and complicated than most games, so we need to proceed with caution and test every step of the way.

I'm having trouble with Cakewalk Soundcenter on all of the Cakewalk software via Steam. Music Creator Touch 6, Sonar, Sonar X3 - all of these refer to files that don't exist or the STEAM Plugin Manager which currently I can only launch via Rapture.

Is there a way to activate these keys on your own software and launchers, please? As of right now, the sound center has been useless, won't launch and when it does, the sounds won't play.

I've not had these problems with others such as Rapture, Z3ta etc.

Also, is there a way to download the Plugin Manager as a standalone app just to help link/ map all these plugins correctly?

What's the status on getting the new apps on Steam?

Thanks, Seth.
