There should be no need to link anything.
The DSF SoundPacks are for Cakewalk Sound Center which is 32bit only and are accessed through Music Creator or Sonar. 64bit versions use the inbuilt BitBridge to handle the the 32bit conversion/emulation for you. I believe the 64bit versions also look to the 32bit location for content with Sound Center.
You may be able to use jBridge[jstuff.wordpress.com] to handle 64bit conversion for use in 'foreign' DAWs(?)
The Plugin Manager app is designed to manage many of our plugins. If you just have Cakewalk Sound Center, it will not link to the x64 directory as Sound Center is x86 only.
The x64 option is used in Rapture Pro and future products.
Because of that, I'm not allowed to use my software?
I don't think you're reading the problem correctly.
There is no need for a solution.
Cakewalk Sound Center is a 32-bit VST, which can be used in either 32-bit DAWs or 64-bit DAWs that allow bridging.
Cakewalk Sound Center is bundled with our DAWs that provide this functionality.
Because I (we?) can't select that directory, we cannot proceed. Or, simpler: there is no way to proceed after having selected the 32bit directory.
Repeating what should be true does not address the problem.
The problem is that things aren't working as they should.
Addendum:I own these 3:
Music Creator
Sonar X3
Z3ta+ 2
And Sound Creator, of course.
I've replied to your concerns in this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/352280/discussions/0/523897277926895796/#c523897653293071729
I am locking this thread as the original posters question has been answered.
Cakewalk Sound Center is a 32-bit only VST. The 64-bit linking option will be greyed out if you only have Cakewalk Sound Center installed. This is by design.
The 64-bit linking button will become available when there are 64-bit versions of Cakewalk plug-ins installed.
