Nope, Lucas Pope made Papers, Please. We were inspired by that game when we made this though. Contrary to popular belief, it is inspired by Papers,Please and not his other ludum dare game Republia Times. We were first made aware of Republia times after we had made our initial 72 hour prototype of this game for another Ludum Dare. Very good games both of them, if you haven't played them, you should check them out as well.

Ludum Dare is a game jam where developers create games in 48 or 72 hours, and they make it based on a theme.
