The_westport_independent.exe has stopped working.
Hello!

I have purchased this game a while ago and succesfully played it the first time. But now when I want to come back to it and play it again, it just crashes even before it starts and says The_westport_independent.exe has stopped working.

Before somebody asks - yes I have the right drivers updated and installed.

Anybody encountered this problem and solved it? Thanks for any help.

Uhoh. Has this been resolved? I was literally coming to the forums to annouce that I am getting over my objection and buying the game, but this is the only post on the forum this month and it has gone unresponded to. That feels like a terrible sign.

Sorry about the delay, I had totally missed this post, my bad. That is strange indeed, have you tried deleting local files? Right clicking the game, pressing delete local files and installing again?

Yes, I have tried that at least three times, does not work.

I did also try downloading the game from the internet and not turning it on through Steam and it does the same thing.

Do you think it might be caused by Windows 10?

No, it shouldn't be Windows 10. I'm a windows 10 user myself, and a lot of the game was developed in Windows 10. I'm looking into the problem though, and will hopefully have a patch in a couple of days. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Has a patch been created, or are you still working on it? Because I just encountered the exact same issue.

We're still working on it. The patch we're working on will hopefully resolve this problem that you're having.

Has this been fixed yet? While I love this game if it is unplayable I would like a refund.
