Easter Egg?

Can anyone provide a hint on the easter egg? I found something about pressing "o" on the title screen, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone who's gotten it want to give a tip or any kind of guidance?

Also tried setting the Tribe Name to Opal and Opal Ring based on the Easter Egg bit here:

No dice. Next thing I was going to try was to get those portraits all into a ring -- trouble is that I think I found Shawn Steele, but I think an older version (still Barntar), so I'm not sure. Tricky to do, as I'm just sending people off to die in the woods, hoping for the right ppl to spawn and I'm not sure if it will even do anything.

Alright, next thing up is the dinosaur eggs maybe, just need to get the event to pop and then do some clicking...

That FAQ is apparently 18 years old (Latest revision: 02 Dec 2000) so it's probably way outdated. I checked few achievement hunting sites (Astats, Completionist, Exophase) and i don't think anyone have found it legit way. It's one of the last few i'm missing myself but i kinda gave up on it.

Right, I figured I would start there and try to piece something together, but at this point, it seems like there might not be a puzzle to find it, so much as a random series of actions that may bring it about. Or maybe the puzzle is just too much for me!

So a little deduction here -- The developer frequents these boards regularly, from what I can see, and they haven't pitched in on this, so my guess is that it is intended to be discoverable by a handful of people legitimately, if that.

Sort of makes me think that it's obscure and unrelated at the level of the Konami code -- you know it or you don't and there's no context for discovering it otherwise outside of random experimentation.

These things that say 0.5% -- yeah, these would be possible to have zero people that completed legitimately.

For games like this that were bundled (or are super cheap in ... the cheap regions), there are some people that like to just run program to get all achievements for some bizarre reason, so it will skew numbers. There is some guy on my friends list that does this. It has always puzzled me.

anyway -- Starcrawlers, this has never been super cheap (never below $3.50 in turkey or russia) and never been bundled, so the impossible stuff is actually still at the 0% (or probably some fraction that doesn't round up to 0.1%).

I also would like to know how to get this achievement. I've tried a lot of stuff including some rumous on the web.

Some hints from the devs would be nice instead of a total radio silence. It's my last locked achievement for kodp and I'v searched everywhere to no avail...

Newer version of the game doesn't support keyboard commands. We cannot promise you that we'll add them, but this is definitely a good idea to think about.
