Orlanth - Rain
Ernalda - Bless crops
Elmal - Sun
Chalana Arroy - Curing/Healing (getting at least a shine so I can activate whichever I need most)
Maran Gor - Earth blood (a must have by the third year where I start to go heavily raiding)
Orlanth - Woad
Elmal - Steadfast
Elmal - Shield
Humakt - True Sword
Humakt - Morale
Humakt - Batlle luck
These are what I consider to be the best blessings in the game.
Then as much Issaries blessings that I can fit and Vinga - Pathfinder if I can manage. Due to the difficulty in managing a large population, getting everything is difficult.
This usually give me a very fun early and mid game but a challenging when tribe making and end game comes in due to poor diplomacy. :p
On any kind of playstyle, I would still recommend getting Rain, Bless Crops, Sun, Woad and Earth Blood.
I honestly think you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot by being a warlike peace clan, usually that may make even your people complain about it. You get penalty to your war magic when playing as peace clan too.
Your tier list is quite like mine but I heavily disagree with you on Morale, Oath is absolute must have and should be swapped in. I also think that people complain if you don't have even a shrine for Lhankor Mhy since they say it's custom to have one, either way his Literacy should be higher priority than Maran Gor's blessing.
I don't experience any complaining by being a warlike peace clan (except for the food/starvation and not enough workers due to wounds or sickness complaints). I do not think (peace, neutral, war) affects your clan except for the yearly magic allocation bonuses.
I've had warriors complain that I'm not raiding at all while being a peace clan. I've never had anyone complain that I'm raiding too much (though I only raid in storm and fire seasons).
Because you can only have 3 blessings, as I am a warlike clan I would choose morale over oath. Since losing a battle will cost me a lot more than another weaker clan (ooooh prey!) becoming an enemy. While I do admit that I experience some difficulty when diplomacy kicks in, I still push through through fighting which is my playstyle's strength.
Most of the time it's not a problem when choosing though since there's a bug (or feature?) in this version that randomly gives you the 4th blessing if you have all 3 blessings activated.
I've never had people complain about not having any shrine from Lhankor Mhy and I am typically able to keep my clan happy once I stabilize the food situation (through maran gor). I've managed to complete the game multiple times without erecting a single shrine to Lhankor Mhy (though I of course do the hero quest).
I don't think there's a mandatory blessing needed and I've certainly survived without barntar, lankor mhy or urox shrines.
Of course, this is according to my playstyle which is very very warlike. I don't really care about diplomacy and would just crush those that disagree with me xD.
Are you playing on Easy? On hard they complain a lot about it about how it's hard on farmers, etc.
It doesn't really, that's a graphical error.
I am fairly sure it's literally impossible to beat the game on hard long as being super warlike. The manual literally tells you not to. How do you even pass the end game with the King race while being warlike, won't you literally fail to unite the people?
I see you're lacking the King of Dragon Pass achievement, so I'd really like to know how you managed to beat the game on long mode while playing as warlike peace?
This is a spoof account I mostly started heavily using last year when I travelled in and out of the country so I'm not sure about the achievement. I've beaten long mode at least once and I've always played warlike peace clan ever since I tried out the other playstyles.
Diplomacy is always a main hurdle for me but I've managed to form tribes by eliminating my enemies and timing clan splits.
I'll try doing it again~
Will reply once I beat the game though gonna do long mode on normal for now. :D
I'm just surprised how Milk-Eyes even comes to you if you are super warlike and ignore diplomacy, to initiate the whole tribe making in the first place.
Your reputation's supposed to be high enough for the tribe making stage to begin.
I never had problems with Milk-eyes coming to me on any of the games I've played. Just because I'm warlike doesn't mean I'm an ass lol. I generally keep good relations with neighbors except those that tried raiding me. Once they attack me then it's on til they either start paying me 40 cow's worth of tribute per year or they get wiped out.
Actually, I remember getting annoyed with Milk-eyes arriving too early when I'm still not comfortable with my forces.
Ah, you made it sound like you're some deranged psycho peace warrior attacking everyone around you, lol.
You can tell Milk Eye that you'll postpone tribe creation by even 4 years of prep time.
No, not deranged psycho although I've had 4 (or was it 6?) clans paying 40 tribute to me per year or else I'll wipe em off the map.
Not psycho, but more of like a very grumpy neighbor.
Yep. Just got another early visit from milk-eye.
