In the case of Ernalda you mean the cattle fertility and disease reduction?
True, the wiki (and also manual) says these secondary benefits last 3 years, I do remember reading that. I believe the game UI tells you this also at least for some of these.
For me, these secondary effects are rarely the motivation for doing the quests and it would be nice to have actual numbers or UI tooltips notifying that they are (still) active and providing benefit, and if so, how much.
As for the actual chosen rewards I quoted in my previous post you can confirm they are permanent buffs? Well, you said "often" which means there are certain exceptions. Can you eleborate on that?
PS: I do like the game very much and allow me to explain why I ask these questions;
The game challenges the player to be intuitive in their decisions more often than not. As a typical "numbers guy" this sometimes frustrates me. Most, if not all (grand) strategy bombards the player with stats and numbers on which to base their decisions. While I do realise KoDP is not a grand strategy game I am convinced a bit more info would be very pleasing to many.
