cows won't go into carts!

(GOG user) i have at least 2 cows left but i build the ox cart and it just keeps saying waiting for animal. i even got a hunter to attack to cow to push it near the cart but they still would not go in it!

If you have a Cattle Farm, it might be that the cows are reserved for the farm so they can still reproduce.

If that's not the case, they might still be reserved for reproduction and you may need to build a Cattle Farm to produce more cows first.

i didn't have a cattle farm anywhere they still won't go in.

For a moment I wondered if you don't actually need a cattle farm for oxcarts, but you don't.
Well, like Basssiiie suggested, try building a cattle farm. And to be on the safe side, I'd limit the stock farmer to just one cow for starters. Hopefully your cows will start breeding and soon you'll see one walk up to and under the ox cart :-)

cows breed? but i thought you had to find them on map with scout and you can only use them once they gone you have to find more?

In a cattle farm cows and sheep breed. You might still run out of them if a stock farmer is constantly using them, so I found to my dismay. But around a cattle farm new cows and sheep will magically appear, full grown and without being preceded by a cloud of hearts though :-)
