Can't Play At All!

I tried to play this and no matter what I did to fix the launching of the game it doesn't work.
Paid for this game too. Worst money I've ever spent to have it not work. I followed the discussions to fix that problem too. What do I do?

I'm the same like you. I just can play these games with my really older computer with windows 7 or with a Virtualbox with Windows XP. Steam should patch the game so in windows 8.1 or windows 10 could run it.
