Game won't start

Upon launching the game goes to a blackscreen then instantly crashes. i have tried verifying the game cache, updating drivers and reinstalling, none of which have worked.

I got the following from Windows crash logs:

Not sure if you had the same error as I had but try to go to the properties of SteamApps\common\Cultures Northland\Game.exe and change the compatibility modus to Windows XP Service Pack 2

I did it too but I can't play again :(. Game always stops running. What should I do? I did verify and compatbility.

@Letna Well opting out of steam beta and XP compatibility worked for me for same error Pilkunnussija had.
