How to remove bushes?

Is there any way to remove plants like bushes or wheat from my town's roads? It just looks unaesthetic for me...

Simply removing them is not possible. You can however build on them, either some buildings or roads (and maybe fences, too), which in turn destroys them.

I have another idea, though. Save your game and try to use your catapults to cause havoc amongst the bush population. This may or may not work, I didn't try it myself.

If you mean those little bushes with fruits, use your scout to make a road sign on them. Then just delete that road sign and continue on till the road is clean.

I've figured out the method with scout, I just expected that there's some key that removes them but thanks for your help.
