The game even says it at one point when all the girls are at a concert and the gay boy band shows up and there's a riot.
The only thing that stops the riots is the sisters dancing on stage, because the crowd are all perverted male Otaku.
Seriously this game makes guys in general look gross, it's kinda offensive XD
I know it's primarily made for men.
I just didn't see why that primarily made for men thing was a huge block to there being anything serious.
Yep, they love beating up on their target audience.(target audience does not mean exclusive audience, just their core buyers)
Those otaku representations. And all the male enemies look ugly.
I don't think I would say that literally. But that the yuri elements are just decorative and honestly not very deep (at least so far). You can read into it however ya like, but if the devs don't continue down the path you envision I wouldn't be surprised.
There are Yuri undertones, and relationships between women in this game.
But not 100% of it is designed to make guys drool. :)
And yeah, you do make a good point. But with the way this game has been, and the first, the 3rd isn't going to be a disappointment unless someone is revealed to be a man wearing fake breasts. :)
Or Futanari, because that's a thing too. :)
Also you probably don't know as much about Japanese culture as some of you are acting like you do, and regardless in the US its a different cultural context. (IIRC I think the female audience for these games is higher in the US than in Japan, but I'd have to doublecheck that.)
I don't know what the future holds, and I don't want to know either until we can play the games on steam.
No one said that. You are missing the point.
ahhh now I know the problem.
The block is there beacause the game is japanese. If a popular girl gets a romance option in game the japanese may riot.
There was a manga called Kannagi where at some point the lead female character was suspected not to be a virgin. The author of the manga suddenly got a ton of death threaths and there were "fans" who posted pictures how they burned/destroyed copies of said manga.
Since then the japanese makers think things trough many times before doing something and id possible they will avoid a serious love intrest if the main character is not a male.
Malist soical justice worrior? I jest of course but I think that is the whole idea that is ment to be a joke about they system/industry and anime and gaming cultcher.
People read far to much into things at times and miss the simple truths ;)
Honestly, I think what happened is a bunch of people misunderstood your original point.
I don't think anyone here is actually mad at you.
I think maybe people just thought you were taking things too seriously, even though you weren't.

I think this game just has this type of yuri.
Maybe I'm missing something huge here, and people can help me figure it out.
I just don't understand, and it's frustrating to not understand what's going on here.
Could someone please explain it to me?
Also, let's be honest, Women know these things better than men. :)
There's a reason 85% or so Slash writers are women. :)
And seriously, who lumps Yuri and Yaoi into random sub-categories.
Seriously, who does that? I mean, sure the story ideas aren't all the same, and there's different levels, but Yuri has always meant girl-girl love. Different levels, like from "I love you." to kissing, to nakedness. :)
No one complicates something simple. No one. And nothing is more complicated then putting random definitions on a word, and changing the meaning in one of the most convoluted ways possible.
And why use TV tropes on this?
Also, Marik said it best.
Thank you for that.
That is much better than my rambling mess, and a good way to point out the flaws.
My Little Pony is aimed for everyone, and can be understood by many different people, not just little girls.
Which is why the Brony movement became a thing.
