All you have to do is not use it.
I've used the Super EXP plan a little bit, but it's not something I'll use that much.,
The sword is silly though.
How about the Key Fragment? You equip that on someone and nothing will do damage to that person until chapter 2. :)
Well, the weapons are powerful, but you're not going to do much to certain enemies later on with it. :)
Sucks the fun out of the game when you just everyone else's ass handed to you :D
save it for later. Or simply never use it. Just because it's there does not mean you need to use it.

But yeah, the sword can be used, or not used, it's up to the person who's playing to use it.
If it's anything like the Fury Sword in Rebirth 1, it actually won't help you against later enemies. :)
