I think this ending did not do a bad job giving people an idea of the worst case scenario. You also have to recall the some of them turned hostile(eg Vert) and they were kind of asking for it.
Personally, my head didn't really hurt from watching this ending(probably too desensetized already), but it gave the game the serious twist it never had. I can definitely say that I enjoyed this ending.
The only part that I found painful to watch was the part where Neptune asked to be killed. This is because she is Nepgear's sister. Probably no one could bear with killing off a family member for any reason at all. On top of all this Neptune seemed so okay with it that it was makingme feel miserable. :( But if you have seen the dialogue(original MK II as well) between Neptune and Nepgear when Neptune asks to be killed, it's hard not to laugh(where Neptune says she can take the pain and ends up ironically crying from the pain). Ah well, R.I.P..
And surely I'm not the only one who enjoyed impaling that little ♥♥♥♥♥ Ram with the Gehaburn. Very satisfying.
And I have an interesting question . Do you think that the words of arfoire are can become true? ( that a world only with peace and without war and competitions wouldn't evolve ( if I recall it right)) related to game industry and also related to the real life world
I only say that I was shocked for that ending. And something sad for the Chika reaction's about the Vert death.
I wonder what will happen to the poor souls who disagree with her new order, after the ending.
Remember that Nepgear is under a huge pressure. No wonder that she did things which she wouldnt do usually. Maybe each person would react so.
Death of those dear to you changes you. Nepgear, under huge mental and emotional stress from the situation going on, got pestered in the worst way possible, by the biggest pest she knows... and she snapped.
Honestly, I imagine that Nepgear would try to rule properly, to live up to the CPUs. And since how a CPU comes into existence isn't actually explained(Nep1 says born from shares, NepV says person using a special item, Nep2 says nothing), she might try to get new CPUs and Candidates to come into existence, and to have them rule nations opposed to Nepgear in Planeptune. That is, she might try to fix some of the damage she dealt, and restore the chaotic balance that Nep, Noire, Blanc, and Vert had going.
Will she wait before killing someone who bother her? After all, as Shinkutear stated she know what happened when letting Linda/underling flee too many times.
Will she find new friends? I think the method she used to defeat Arfoire and rise to power is well known.
Will she keep her sanity, when she's not even sure to have make the right choice?
I understand the fact she's under pressure ( I honestly don't know how I will react in such a situation ) and perhaps even forced to act like this ( Damn you Noire for starting this madness ) but I just don't see a reign built on murder and doubt ending well.
But rejoice, it was just a very bad dream ! (and a very good ending)
2. Will she find new Friends? Hmmm that could be hard since The people know that she is a murder. Also each nation is angry at her because she killed their CPUs. But Remember that she has Friends like Compa, If, Falcom and 5PB.
3 Will she keep her sanity, when she's not even sure to have make the right choice?
I think Histoire will be there to Support nepgear even of she did a wrong decision.
