It's never mentioned, because [reason].. or probably because of the localisation.
Underling is another proof for the poor translation.
It`s Nick Doerr`s doing. Lucky, he left. Rebirths got another, slightly better translation.
Agarest games suffered from the same.
Yup. It's a running gag of similar type to Mid-boss in the first Disgaea. And as usual Nicky Doerr's memerific translation efforts squashed that subtle bit.
Even then they didn't really do that. In the cutscene where she first shows up, she introduces herself as Linda, but the text doesn't acknowledge it, and for whatever reason the actress says it weirdly, like its part of the previous word rather than being a separate one.
