Where do I find elite demon stones?

I went back and forth in the demon realm and I already have two "legendary" demon stones, which is the next level. But strangely I still miss the previous elite stones to craft the weapons/armor so that I could upgrade it to legendary.

It strikes me as odd that I have the higher items while missing the lower ones that are required. I couldn't name the area I might have missed (except some optional bonus levels that need a code I don't have).

edit: Never mind, found them along the way. Though it was confusing that the game gave me the later ones first.

the force realm always has a ton of elite stones

The force realm is the only way to get elite stones. The legendary stones are from minibosses found along your path to the boss.
