Quiplash on ipad

Hi,
I just bought Quiplash through Steam, and downloaded steam on my Mac and on IPad devices, but am only able to play it, seemingly, on my mac. Is there no way to play the game from ipad? Feel like I messed up and should have just bought it directly from the App Store?

The games cannot run off an iPad, devices are only used as controllers, games must be hosted on a console/pc/mac.
